Privacy Policy

EverClass (“we”, “us”) is a studio app for private instructors and the families they teach. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can ask us to change or delete it. It applies to the EverClass website, web app, and iOS app at everclass.app.

1. Who this covers

Instructors create studios. Students and parents join with an invite code. An instructor may also record a student’s name and lesson details before that student or parent has an account.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. Name, email address, optional phone number, profile photo, time zone, and (for some instructors) studio address or a service area. You can sign in with email and password, Google, or Sign in with Apple. If you use Apple’s Hide My Email, we receive Apple’s private relay address. You may also give us a real email so we can reach you about your account.
• Studio records. Classes, lesson schedules, cancellation and makeup requests, studio policies and signatures, tuition balances, payment status, lesson notes, and homework.
• Messages and files. Chat messages and attachments you send in the app (for example photos, practice videos, or sheet music).
• Notifications. Push-notification device tokens so we can send lesson reminders, tuition requests, chat alerts, and daily summaries you turn on.
• Subscription billing. If an instructor subscribes, we keep the minimum needed to recognize the subscription (for example an Apple transaction identifier or a Stripe customer ID). We do not receive full card numbers. Apple or Stripe process the payment.
• Support. Subject, category, and message text if you open a support ticket in the app.
• Technical logs. Basic server logs (such as IP address, timestamps, and error traces) used to run and secure the service.

Tuition between a family and an instructor is typically paid outside EverClass (for example Venmo or Zelle). We may store the instructor’s payment handles and whether a lesson was marked paid. We do not collect those payment-app passwords or bank details.

3. How we use information

We use this information to:

• Create and authenticate accounts
• Run scheduling, policies, tuition tracking, and family chat
• Send the reminders and notifications you enable
• Provide instructor subscriptions and restore purchases
• Respond to support requests and keep the service reliable and secure

We do not sell personal information. We do not use third-party advertising networks, and we do not use your studio data to show ads.

4. How we share information

We share information only as needed to operate EverClass:

• Inside a studio. Instructors, linked parents, and students see the records and threads they are part of (for example a family chat or a signed studio policy).
• Service providers. Google Firebase (authentication, file storage, and push delivery), our database and API hosts, Stripe (web subscriptions), and Apple (Sign in with Apple, In-App Purchase, and push notifications).
• Legal requests. If we are required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of EverClass or our users.

We do not sell or rent your information to data brokers or advertisers.

5. Children

EverClass is built for instructors and parents. Students who use the app often include minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without a parent or instructor managing the studio relationship. Instructors may enter a student’s name and lesson records so they can teach. We do not use student information for advertising or sell it.

A parent or instructor can ask us to correct or delete a student’s information using the contact details below.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep account and studio records while the account is active and for a short period afterward so we can restore access, resolve disputes, or meet legal requirements. Chat attachments stay in storage until they are deleted in the app or the related account is removed.

To request access, correction, or deletion of your information, email hello@everclass.app from the address on your account, or open a support ticket in the app. We will delete or anonymize personal data unless we must keep a limited record (for example a billed subscription or a legal hold).

7. Security and storage

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls. Servers and files are hosted by our providers, typically in the United States. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Your choices

• You can edit profile details in the app.
• You can turn off push notifications in your device settings.
• You can leave a studio or stop using the app at any time.
• Instructors can manage or cancel an App Store subscription in Apple ID Account Settings. Web subscriptions can be managed from the membership screen.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. The current version will always be posted at https://everclass.app/privacy.
